Growing Power Training - Sept 7-8, 2011 the training included: bio-intensive production with high tunnels, composting, aquaponics, mushroom growing, livestock, market basket program and Wal-Mart partnership ceremony. http://growingpower.org

I plan on bringing aquaponics to my farm and to begin using these practices on my farm immediately. “The information gained from this trip will first be presented to the co op I am a member of, Mississippi Progressive Agriculture Group. I will apply the growing practices to my own farm in regards to irrigation techniques, starting seedlings, hoop house practices and various new ideas observed. On my farm I will use the practices regarding the seedling planting, specialty vegetables, the Native American herb garden plan and organic practices. Houston Retail Store Field Trip-- Oct 2-5, 2011. To learn about operating and managing community grocery stores in low income and immigrant communities.
